The Brief
Purple Pitch were appointed by National Vehicle Crime Reduction Partnership (NVCRP) to provide an Enhanced Media and Communications Strategy to increase awareness of organised vehicle crime, not only with the general public, but amongst industry and furthermore within the Police.
Particularly, the organisation was keen to proactively promote crime prevention measures, innovation and best practice to also serve as a valuable resource for expert knowledge and advice in this area of targeted crime.
The Solution
Initial efforts were focused on two main areas – driving traction to an existing social media presence and driving PR activity, resulting in supporting media coverage.
The Outcome
- Consistent and engaging posts over the six months following Purple Pitch’s inception to provide and schedule content for the existing LinkedIn page resulted in a gain of 700+ followers and just shy of 100 posts scheduled.
- The rise in activity has sparked a steady growth of mentions of NVCRP across other LinkedIn pages, increasing brand presence.
- Positive reactions to the new and engaging content, with positive trends reported in LinkedIn impressions, reactions and shares.
- Increased media visibility, with 60+ verified pieces of media coverage secured
Mentions in industry reports such as 2025 Organised Vehicle Theft in the UK RUSI Report, demonstrating growing influence to comment within the vehicle crime landscape.
- Thought leadership interviews within professional titles such as Policing Insight and Professional Security Magazine.
- The confirmation of additional funding secured in 2025 was widely publicised and generated strong sector interest.
- An additional 11 blogs in six months were posted to the NVCRP website, all linked to drive traffic to the website
- Content spanning emerging trends, informative explainer pieces, and specialist commentary further position NVCRP as a voice of expertise in the sector.
A wider Media Communications Strategy holds plans for the organisation to build on this momentum and further strengthen NVCRP’s national visibility in 2026, which includes (and is not exclusive to) newsletter content, developing branded crime prevention resources, stakeholder events, award opportunities and more.
