Cyber Resilience Centre Marketing

Purple Pitch PR were engaged to lead on the communications and marketing for the launch of five new police led Regional Cyber Resilience Centres funded by the Home Office. All five centres were to launch within a 9 month period.

The centres are there to provide Micro businesses and SMEs with access to trusted, affordable cyber security services and advice and offer free and paid membership options.

What we did:

The first centre to launch was the West Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre which provided the blue print for the other four centres which were the South East, South West, Eastern and Wales.

Deliverables for each centre included:

  • Creating a launch plan
  • Setting up new social media accounts
  • Creating social media assets
  • Developing content for membership packs
  • Drafting blogs on cyber security
  • Coordinating launch day media activity
  • Drafting and pitching in regular new stories to business and regional media
  • Posting daily content on social media accounts
  • Advising centre leads on comms and marketing activity
  • Coordinating comms activity and promotion with force communications teams

Results

All five centres were launched successfully with over 100 pieces of positive media coverage secured across the five centres just for the launch announcements. This included appearances on regional TV and radio as well as print and online.

The Centres now have a social media audience of over 4,000 people.
