A partnership with power: Purple Pitch PR joins forces with The 22:23 Community Interest Company

Award-winning Northamptonshire-based public relations consultancy Purple Pitch PR has joined forces with fellow Northamptonshire organisation The 22:23 Community Interest Company (CIC), following its appointment to lead the organisation’s public relations and communications ahead of its national launch.

The 22:23 CIC is a not-for-profit organisation on a mission to help households reduce their energy bills by making home battery storage more affordable. Operating on a people-before-profit basis, any surplus generated will be reinvested into charitable causes and community projects across the UK.

The partnership will see Purple Pitch PR develop and deliver a strategic communications programme to build awareness of The 22:23 CIC and its mission, helping more households, businesses and communities across the UK and beyond discover a fairer, more affordable approach to reducing energy costs.

Purple Pitch PR specialises in strategic public relations, media relations, corporate communications and brand awareness, helping organisations build credibility, strengthen their reputation and connect with the audiences that matter most.

Founded by entrepreneur Matt Stockdale, inventor of the market-leading Oven Pride oven cleaner, The 22:23 CIC was established to make affordable energy storage accessible to more households. By supplying home battery systems at cost, the organisation enables many families to reduce their energy bills by 65–75%, helping them take greater control of rising household costs.

Purple Pitch PR will work closely with Founder Matt Stockdale and The 22:23 CIC’s Patron and Ambassador, legendary Olympian Derek Redmond, to build awareness of the organisation’s mission across the UK. Renowned for his resilience and determination both on and off the track, Derek will help champion The 22:23 CIC’s vision to make affordable, greener energy technologies accessible to more households.

Matt Stockdale, Founder of The 22:23 Community Interest Company, said: “The 22:23 CIC was born from a simple belief that affordable energy should be available to everyone, not just those who can afford expensive technology. Too many households have been left feeling powerless by rising energy costs, and we wanted to create a fairer alternative that genuinely puts people first. By supplying home battery systems at cost, we’re helping families take greater control of their bills while ensuring any surplus is reinvested into charitable causes and community projects. We’re delighted to be working with Purple Pitch PR as we launch nationally and look forward to sharing our mission with the people who stand to benefit most.”

Derek Redmond, Patron and Ambassador of The 22:23 Community Interest Company, continued: “Throughout my career, both in sport and beyond, I’ve always been passionate about supporting charities, community projects and initiatives that genuinely improve people’s lives. That’s why I was so impressed by The 22:23 CIC. It’s helping families reduce the pressure of rising energy bills while giving something back to communities through its people-before-profit approach. I’m proud to be supporting an initiative that has the potential to make a real and lasting difference to households and communities.”

Michelle Nichols, Founder and CEO of Purple Pitch PR, added: “From our very first conversations with Matt, it was clear that The 22:23 CIC had an important story to tell. This is an organisation driven by purpose, with an ambition to help households reduce their energy bills while creating lasting benefits for communities. We’re incredibly proud to have been appointed to support its national launch and are looking forward to building awareness of the organisation, its mission and the positive impact it has the potential to make.”
